The First Shangri-La Hotel in Saudi Arabia To Be In Jeddah

Mohamed Omari, The General Manger in the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities in Makah showed in his statement that the city of is launching a new international hotel to join the existing world-class hotels in around the Red Sea, noting that the hotel market in Jeddah has large investment opportunities, pointing to themarkets in the region has the capacity to accommodate more than five thousand rooms according to the tenth development plan, and the annual rate of growth in this investing sector is up to 12%, in addition to the need of Mecca for 12 thousand additional hotel rooms by the end of 2020.

According to the project the hotel will be composed of 242-hotel room within the high-profile towers in the region consists of 65 stories and well located in the Cornice Road in the city of Jeddah on the shore of the Red Sea. Shangri-La group will not only operate and develop the hotel but will also manage the 122 resident’s apartments in the tower. The hotel will also feature three restaurants including a large lounge consists of three floors and a health club, and a luxury spa and a gym, as well as an indoor swimming pool and a private club for children and many other facilities and lounges.
